Hawaii, trains, and Flowers This was done in my painting I class (fall 2001). It is a still life with some personal objects. The Hawaiian girl I got from my trip to Hawaii and the train was given to me by my Grandfather Moore who went to Purdue. It seems as if these playful objects are coming from out side the box which is the yellow orange rectangle in the center. |

Self Portrait from Life This is a self Portrait that was done in my painting I class (fall 2001). The assignment started with a color collage with the colors of your choice. We then incorporated these colors into the painting. I believe that this was my most successful painting of the semester. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces of all time. |

A Circle of Dictonaries This is a painting of chance. Before we started, my class mates and I were partnered up by drawing keys and matching them up with each other and then going into another room. In the room we sat down and opened dictionaries for one another, closed our eyes, then picked out a word with our fingers. My words were standard, another word for microscopic lens, and there were a few other words that I cannot remember. There is a question mark in this painting, can you find it? (fall 01) |

Childhood Memories This painting has objects that I recieved as a kid. The Smurf was from my parents. The little kitty and dog in the cup was a gift from my Grandmother Williams who got it for me when she took me to Ceder Point, a theme park in Ohio. The train was from my Grandfather Moore who went to Purdue. I am not sure where I got the little bear. All I know is that I had quite a few of these little bear pins and I loved them as a kid. |
